Role Description
This summer, we’re looking for a curious and passionate summer intern to support synapse across growth, launch and community operations. This is an ideal role for someone interested in healthcare, public health, startups, operations, and growth.
Interns at synapse will sit with the founding team, work directly with our advisors — Dr. Danielle Belardo and Dr Yiannis S. Chatzizisis — help shape the product, get hands-on experience building medical AI, and help host community events and talks with medical experts. You'll get to influence physician growth, operational systems, product launches, and growth experimentation.
You’ll also get hands-on experience building AI agents and agentic workflows, learning how AI can be used to run growth and operational experiments, automate workflows, and help us move faster.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting our community growth strategy, including researcher outreach and onboarding across cardiology fellowships.
- Coordinating product and program launches across go-to-market, product, and engineering teams
- Proposing and running growth experiments, reporting learnings back to the team every week
- Experimenting with AI-native tooling and agentic workflows to improve operational efficiency and scale internal processes. Become fluent in AI-native tools, including Cursor/Claude Code with curiosity and willingness to adopt new AI workflows
- Work at the cutting edge of medical science and ML. Act as a medical consultant to our technical team as we build the most advanced knowledge graph of medical research.
- Connect with leaders at ACC, AHA, and the institutions shaping the field. Help drive partnerships with the major cardiology societies and academic centers.
- Engage with our beta users. Cardiology fellows, KOLs, fellowship directors. Turn what you hear into product decisions the founding team ships.
- Host the conversations that matter in cardiology. Run community events, journal clubs, and talks with the field's most respected voice
You
- Current med student, MD/PhD, or pre-med.
- Interested in the intersection of AI, medicine and entrepreneurship
